When light enters a dark room through a small hole, it projects the reverse image of the scene outside the room, creating a Camera Obscura.

Have fun with optical science and art: make a Camera Obscura, or a pinhole camera. I like this guy’s photos made with his home-made medium format pinhole camera, for instance. Flickr’s probably full of this kind of stuff.
